2 day in Copenaghen-Kronborg Castle

Buongiorno lettori, come state ?

Buona serata a tutti!!

Hello readers, how are you?Here
are the pictures of my second day in Copenhagen , spent discovering the Kronborg Castle , the magnificent building between
Denmark and Sweden , in the town of Elsinore.

Due to Shakespeare the fame of the castle, in fact the writer chose the structure as setting for the tragedy of  “Hamlet” which is why it is often called “the castle of Hamlet .”

An other element for great famine is the legend of Holger Danske , the Danish Ogiero. The legend tells that in a part of the castle defined Casemates , the old man sat
with his arms folded and dozed off, but if the Danish kingdom is
threatened by a foreign enemy , the great stone statue comes to life and
the
giant Holger Danske will rise again to defend their homeland.(The photo of the statue is the latest of the post.)

An other aspect that I want to comment with you is the Ballroom (twenty-first pic of the post). It was completed in 1582 and it is the largest ballroom in Northern Europe, and one of the largest in Europe.

I hope that Denmark will fascinate you through my photographs, as much as it fascinated me.

Good evening to all !

C.G.
